Labor law violation case against Grameen Telecom will continue
The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has dismissed the Grameen Telecom's plea to quash the labor law violation case. As a result, the case against Muhammad Yunus, the chairman of the company will continue in the Labor Court.
On Monday (May 8) after the hearing on leave to appeal, this order was given by the Appellate division bench led by Md. Nuruzzaman, the senior judge of the Supreme Court.
Lawyer Abdullah Al Mamun was in favor of the application in the court today. Whereas, lawyer Md. Khurshid Alam Khan was on behalf of the Department of Inspection of Factories and Institutions. Attorney General Abu Mohammad (AM) Amin Uddin appeared for the state.
Earlier on April 3, the hearing on leave to appeal of Grameen Telecom Chairman Dr. Muhammad Yunus concluded. The senior judge of the Supreme Court Appellate division bench headed by Md. Nuruzzaman had fixed May 8 as the day to issue an order in this regard. .
